Infinity swimming pool on the rooftop

I swam in the infinity pool on the 57th floor while looking out over the skyline of Singapore. Three lifeguards monitored the water at sunrise, and I enjoyed club sandwiches with mocktails at the pool edge. My room included TWG tea bags and three bottles of water that the staff replenished daily during my stay. I walked directly into the attached mall to visit the food court.

Octagonal windows for Marina Bay

I watched the skyline from my room through the large octagonal window designed by Kevin Roche. After I checked in, I spent hours in the 25m lap pool surrounded by a three-tiered timber deck. My bathroom held bath salts and a full set of toiletries for a relaxing soak.

Marina Bay view from the rooftop pool

I watched the evening light show from my bathtub before heading to the rooftop pool for a swim. Drinks at the Lantern bar provided a clear view of Marina Bay Sands while I sat on the waterfront terrace. Complimentary afternoon tea at the Living Room

I enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea daily at the Living Room, which sat within a colonial setting and offered pastries between three and five in the afternoon. My villa featured a private plunge pool on the patio and an outdoor shower. I also swam in the three outdoor pools located within the lush grounds while birds sang in the surrounding greenery.

Private tours by the resident historian

I walked through the corridors during the historical tour led by the resident historian to learn the stories of the building. My suite faced the courtyard fountain, so I sat on the porch each morning to look out over the grounds. I also refreshed myself in the shower rooms by the rooftop pool before departing for my flight.

Private access from ground-floor patios

I walked directly into the pool from my ground-floor room patio, which allowed for a private swim whenever I wanted. I enjoyed canapes and cocktails in The Living Room during happy hour, while free snacks stayed available throughout the day. These colonial buildings replaced military barracks and sit in a quiet compound restricted to hotel guests only, ensuring a serene atmosphere across the entire site.

Chilled treats at the rooftop pool

I lounged at the rooftop pool after exploring the city, where I enjoyed free ice cream while I soaked up the last of the day's sun. The gym provided chilled towels and dispensers for sparkling water which I used during my daily workouts. I also dined at Nobu, where I ordered the Anticucho Peruvian style F1 Japanese rib eye steak.

Laundry machines on every floor

I used the free washer and dryer located on my floor to clean my clothes after walking along the Singapore River. My compact room included a kitchenette with a hot plate and a full-size refrigerator which I used to cook breakfast.
